CHICAGOLAND ENTREPRENEURIAL CENTER TO CELEBRATE REGION'S ENTREPRENEURIAL ACHIEVEMENTS AT SECOND ANNUAL MOMENTUM AWARDS
As part of its ongoing efforts to nurture high-growth businesses and recognize entrepreneurial achievements in the region, the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center announced that its second annual Momentum Awards Dinner will recognize Jack Sandner, former Chairman of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and current Chairman of E*Trade Futures, as Entrepreneurial Champion of the year. During Sandner's two decades of leadership, the CME embarked on many groundbreaking initiatives creating innovative global products, seamless technology for global distribution and execution and a new business paradigm for the 21st century. Throughout his career, he has been a catalyst for the creation and development of new businesses and a tireless advocate for the entrepreneurial spirit. The 2009 Merrick Momentum Award winner will also be announced during the night's festivities; finalists for the award include Eved Services, Neat Oh!, SmarTechs, and Zorch. The 2009 Momentum Awards Dinner will take place on Monday, March 9 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
