ENTREPRENEURS AND EXECUTIVES IN RESIDENCE

Since entrepreneurial success is often the result of timely access to top strategic guidance, the CEC engages leading members of the business and investment community as Entrepreneurs and Executives in Residence (EIRs) whom can be efficiently linked with clients with compatible mentoring needs. EIRs commit 15-20 volunteer hours per year and mentor 1-2 companies per quarter.

EIR Candidate Profile

Ideal EIRs meet the following selection criteria:

  • Serial entrepreneurs
  • Founders of mid-market sized companies
  • Experience working in start-ups with a history of successful return on invested capital
  • Individuals who have successfully raised multiple rounds of venture capital
  • Active investors or angels
  • Individuals who have held "C" or director level positions in large corporations and have relevant industry expertise

Sample Advisory Topics

EIRs coach CEC clients on strategic topics, such as:

  • Building and validating operational plans, with a strong focus on go to market and business development strategies
  • Refining an investment strategy
  • Prioritizing and road-mapping growth milestones
  • Developing organizational and human capital strategies
